HITIT UNIVERSITY OSMANCIK VOCATIONAL HIGHER SCHOOL
Osmancık Vocational Higher School was established in 2005. The school offers a two-years technical education and training, and it is located, just near a wood, in the suburb of Osmancık township, ÇORUM. Osmancık is a beautiful and historical town on the İstanbul – Trabzon Highway. The river Kızılırmak, which is the longest river in Turkey, flows through Osmancık township.
There are many historical buildings in Osmancık: Koyunbaba Bridge over Kızılırmak river, the Ottoman Bathroom, the Kandiber Castle, Osmancık Municipality Culture and Art House, Baltacı Mehmet Pasha Fountain, Koca Mehmet Pasha Mosque.
The School has only one department: The Department of Technical Programmes. Under this Department, there are two sub-divisions:
1- The Education and Training Programme of Computer Technology and Programming. 2- The Education and Training Programme of Industrial Electronics
The Students must have at least 112 credits and also do at least a 40-days probation within the two years education. There are several undertakings and factories to do probation.
There are two well-equipped computer laboratories, each having 21 computers. There are two well-equipped elektronics laboratories , also. The School has a library, a study room, an internet saloon, a dining hall, a table-tennis saloon, a canteen and a large garden filled with trees, roses and flowers. The School has got a football ground and a basketball ground. The school building is quite large and has two storeys.
The students take part in many social activities such as Environment Club, Study Club, Informatics Club, Turkish Folk Dances Club, Thought Club of ideals for Atatürk, Excursion and Research Club, Research and Promotion Club for the Turkish World.
